I was told by one gun shop that once the factory bluing is gone on a firearm, there is no hope of restoring that deep, blue/black finish.  I now know that is not so. After several years of failed attempts to reblue my Remington 760, I had given up on ever getting the finish back to anything near factory condition.  Fortunately, however, I found the Central New York Gun Works.  The rebluing job they did on my gun was outstanding!   When I opened the box the gun was shipped in, my immediate reaction was to say, "WOW!".
